It is not often that I blatantly promote my family and their various enterprises, but this is one such occasion. Karoo Classics is a business that was started 19 years ago by my creative youngest brother, Charles when he moved from the Karoo to Stellenbosch to educate his children. It sells Wool, Ostrich, Leather and Mohair products. Their market, up until now has primarily been international tourists. Like thousands of similar businesses, Covid 19 has created enormous challenges. They have lost their shop in the V & A Waterfront and down scaled in Stellenbosch. The Franschhoek store is still going. Wilbar Robberts his, son in law, has taken over the reins. In order to get some cash into the business he is running a huge sale of 40% off all goods in store and 30% off, on-line. I went to chat to Wilbar about how it’s going. If you share this post on Facebook you stand a chance to win a R1000 voucher to spend at Karoo Classics
